Marvyn Arévalo Avalos selected to attend IRTI

Marvyn Arévalo Avalos, a doctoral student in counseling psychology, has been selected to receive a fellowship award form the Interdisciplinary Research Training Institute on Hispanic Drug Abuse (IRTI) at the University of Southern California (USC). This training program is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH) (R25DA026401).

The goal of the IRTI is to promote the development of an independent scientist focused on drug use among Hispanic populations. The IRTI achieves this through a formal structure consisting of three core activities: training, mentoring, and networking.

Maryvn has worked very closely with our Center and we are excited that he has been selected for this opportunity.
